How to automatically create reports using AI
Tutorial: Complete a Weekly Report in 10 Minutes
Let AI handle your repetitive report writing. Automate the entire process of gathering data from multiple files, analyzing it, and organizing it into a report.
Scenario
Every Friday, you need to compile weekly performance files from Sales, Marketing, and CS teams into an executive report. This used to take 2 hours.
Getting Started
Step 1: Open Workspace
Open the folder containing performance files as a workspace. Click Open Workspace at the top and select the folder.
Step 2: Request Analysis
Start with a simple request:
"Analyze this week's performance files and summarize sales by department"
The AI reads all Excel and CSV files in the folder and consolidates the data.
Step 3: Generate Report
Once analysis is complete, request the report:
"Create a weekly executive report from the analysis. Include summary, department performance, and week-over-week changes. Save as PDF."
The AI creates the report and saves it as PDF. Click the generated file link to review immediately.
Step 4: Request Revisions
Review the content and modify as needed:
"Add charts and include an issues section"
The AI updates the report.
Save as Skill
If you do this every week, save it as a skill:
"/skill-creator"
The AI analyzes your conversation and creates a reusable skill. Next week, just run /weekly-report and you're done.
